Nitish heads for landslide victory

Nitish Kumar led JD(U)-BJP combine heads for a two-thirds landslide victory in Bihar in the assembly elections, crushing long-time foe Lalu Prasad and wiping out the Congress.

Serving a major blow to his opponents, Nitish Kumar's party JD(U) posted leads in maximum number of seats while its ally BJP also exhibited an impressve performance.

Riding on the developmental plank, the ruling alliance appears sweeping back to power with the JD(U) having a lead in 117 seats and its ally in 88 seats.
